Allen Boniface.
A story-first approach.

I’m Allen Boniface, a Seychelles-based filmmaker, sound recordist and photographer behind Rise Production. I have over 10 years of experience in documentary filmmaking and short-form content, with documentary storytelling at the heart of my work. I previously worked for seven years as a sound technician at Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC).

My skills span concept development, production, directing, camera operation, editing and professional sound recording for interviews and field work. I’m experienced in on-location filming, interviews, talking-head videos and environmental stories, and I work with Sony mirrorless cameras and DJI drones.

I work independently on solo productions and collaborate with other creatives and crew on larger projects. I can lead a project from its first idea to the finished film, or contribute filming, editing, sound recording or photography as part of a wider team. My experience also includes working on film sets in Sri Lanka and India, bringing an international perspective to my work. I have also facilitated several short filmmaking training courses for young people in Seychelles, sharing practical skills and supporting their creative development.

You can come to me with an idea, a brief or footage you already have. I can shape a film from original footage, client material, selected stock, or a combination of all three. Outside commissioned work, I make personal films and travel reels for the pleasure of exploring places and following a story.
